The Albanian Road Authority announces that the works for the expansion of the Tirana-Durres highway, within the framework of phase II of the project, have reached a physical completion of 50%.

" Currently, intensive work is underway to build asphalt layers on the left side of the axis, in the Tirana-Durres direction.

To guarantee the normal continuation of the works, the diversion of vehicle traffic has been implemented through the new expansion near the Rinas overpass.

The diversion is equipped with temporary signage, placed in accordance with road safety standards, with the aim of guiding and protecting road users.

Next, the works will focus on the right side of this segment, where the construction of asphalt layers will begin, as part of the full implementation of the expansion project of this strategically important road for the connection between the two main cities of the country.

"Work to widen the road body with two lanes on each side, where one lane will serve for emergencies, making the superhighway, upon completion of the works, with four lanes in each direction, began last year."
