17 children with salmonella in Gramsh, AKU publishes the results of the tests

The National Food Authority has published the analyses of food products taken from Kindergarten No. 1 in the city of Gramsh and from the supplier in Tirana, following the salmonella poisoning of several children from a public kindergarten in the city of Gramsh.

According to the AKU, some of the samples analyzed for the presence of Salmonella spp bacteria have resulted clean, while the analyses for the rest are still in process.

NFA announcement:

In the context of transparency, the National Food Authority continues to follow legal procedures and inform the public, regarding the samples taken from raw food products at the kindergarten No. 1 in the city of Gramsh and at the supplier in Tirana, which were sent for analysis for the Salmonella spp indicator at the Reference Laboratory at ISUV.

We inform you that the samples sent for analysis for the raw milk and chicken thigh products, sampled by DRAKU Elbasan, as well as the milk, chicken thigh, and egg products sampled by DRAKU Tirana, have resulted clean for the Salmonella spp indicator.

While for the egg product sampled by DRAKU Elbasan and chicken thighs sampled by DRAKU Tirana, the analysis is still in process.

Once we have this information, the NFA will continue to inform the public further.
