The mayor of Erseka, Erion Isai, was the focus of the comments due to his manner of speaking in English and the unexpected mention of Donald Trump during discussions that included topics such as integration, climate, and the economy.

After the video was published, memes and mocking comments began circulating on social media. One citizen commented harshly on one of the posts, criticizing it.

Isai wrote to the citizen privately on Instagram, using offensive and inappropriate language for a public official.
