Underage girls are gang raped, parents: They filmed them to blackmail them for

Violence among teenagers is on the rise, such is the case that Fiks Fare covered on Monday evening.

They rape, film, and then blackmail by spreading the footage on social media, all to make money.

Two mothers have publicly denounced a serious incident of violence against their minor children in the heart of Tirana. The girls, aged 12 and 15, were physically abused by a group of nine girls their own age, while the police, according to the parents, have not taken any action against the perpetrators even though their identities have been made public.

According to the testimony of one of the mothers, the three girls, two of her own and a friend of theirs, were walking along Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard when they were attacked without warning. “They called them names, insulted them, then grabbed them and beat them mercilessly. They laid one of the girls on the ground, tried to undress her and filmed everything,” the mother says in shock. The video of the incident has been shared on social media and through it the perpetrators have been identified, who, according to the complainants, live in the Yzberisht area.

The parents say that the incident is much more serious than a teenage conflict. According to them, the rapists had gone out with the intention of raping someone, filming them and then making money by blackmailing them. This is what the parents said in their testimony to the police. The rapists even found the parents of the raped girls themselves and then reported them to the police. "Our girls didn't know them at all. They were simply in the wrong place, at the wrong time," they say.

After reporting to the police, the parents say they have been faced with a wall of silence and neglect. "We went to Police Station No. 1, where the judicial police officer told us that they have nothing to do. That they cannot intervene in conflicts between minors and that only when a murder occurs can they act. He even blamed the families for the way the children are raised," the complainants say.

Meanwhile, the situation for the victims has turned into a daily nightmare. The girls no longer dare to go to school and live in constant fear, as the perpetrators are not only at large, but also threaten them through social media with revenge for reporting them.

Parents appeal for justice and protection, remembering that such cases have also ended in tragedy. "Let's not wait for the worst to happen. I don't want my child to become the next victim to remind them that they need to act sooner," says one of them, citing the case of a 15-year-old who lost his life after a similar conflict. TCH
